Create a Route in Simulations

Last Updated: Feb 24, 2017 02:39PM EST

Before creating a route in Simulation, please see What is an Operation? What is a Simulation?

WorkWave Route Manager gives you the ability to plan and execute on routes for the current day while planning for the future or experimenting with routes you have already run.

What could you experiment with? Make changes, add Driversreduce Driversgive someone a day off to see what it will do to your plan.

First, you'll need to put your Orders into Simulation.

1. Click on your Territory name in the upper left corner of Route Manager.

2. Click “New Simulation”.

3. From there, you can either import existing data from Operations or start with a blank slate. Either way, give your new Simulation a name.

If you select “Import Orders and Routes from Operations” you will bring in the Orders and routes from the date range you want in Operations

If you don’t select “Import Orders and Routes from Operations” you’ll start with a blank route plan and will need to import orders just like you would in Operations

You may already have a Simulation you want to duplicate. If so, you can create a separate copy of it.

 1. Click the Simulation you want to copy and then click, "Save a Copy".

2. Name the new Simulation and click "Save a Copy"
