Can I Import and Measure an Existing Route/Sequence of Stops?

Last Updated: Oct 26, 2016 04:41PM CEST
Yes, it is absolutely possible to import existing routes and stop sequences.

You must use an Excel or CSV file and add the following columns with these exact column headers:

  • RouteVehicle - this is the name of the Vehicle inside of WorkWave Route Manager. This must match exactly.
  • RouteDate - this is the exact date the route was run. This is required even if you are only bringing in one day’s sequence.
  • RouteStep - this is the sequence of the Orders per Vehicle

Attached at the bottom of this page is a template you can use!

You can also define pickup and delivery stops:
  • PickupRouteStep
  • DeliveryRouteStep

This is actually useful in order to measure your current routes with WorkWave Route Manager. You can, in fact, check total and partial fleet mileage, individual working times and possible constraint violations. To do this, just include all time windows and constraints you would usually face. Route Manager will tell you if it thinks any of these would be violated.

After getting an overall idea of your current routes, you can click "Build Routes" to let Route Manager generate the best possible routes.

Or, you can Approve and Dispatch the existing routes out to your Drivers and the Route Manager App.
